What do we think ?Well, since you asked... This PA is IDEAL for use as either your first proper pub and club rig or a great upgrade from that ancient and heavy old PA you've been dying to get rid of ! For me, I'd use it as a vocal rig as the "one by twelve's" cabs really suit the vocal frequencies. (You'll see that written as 1x12" and meaning a box containing a speaker with a 12 inch diameter zzzzz). However, for all you budding DJ's they also have a really good FULL RANGE frequency response and really pump dat bass mon.
Now, power wise, 500 watts is plenty enough to power a good old 60's / 70's club band or modern pop rock pub band with room for 3 or 4 vocals plus you can also "mike up" the drums and "D.I" the keys as well. OR if you are a teen heavy metal band then yep, you can give this rig hell and it should take it but watch that bass ! If it's one thing that will blow any PA then it's the bass and as sure as eggs are eggs that will not be covered under any warranty.
To sum up: I really like the moulded cabs and head. It's very light compared to carpet covered wooden ones and feels more solid. The quality is excellent both in construction and tone with very useable vocal reverbs and echo's. We've stoppped selling our old faithful PHONIC gear in favour of this rig, it really is very impressive.
Basically, yeah I'd have no reservations about using one myself !
