Fender are one of the first names you think of when it comes to ELECTRIC guitars but necessarily so for acoustic guitars. Well, me dears, you have been missing out. This guitar features a solid top. A solid what ? Yeah a solid top. The front (top) of the guitar is made out of a solid pice of timber and not lamintae / plywood. So ? Well, a solid top guitar sounds better in the short term AND will mature and mellow with age. It's like a statement of intent; boxing gloves, a spoiler whatever your reference it's a pistol packing mama crashing through the louvred doors of the 'Fine Tone' saloon (does anyone read this or do they just cut to the spec?) In summary: to be able to buy a SOLID TOP acoustic under £249 is good, an ELECTRO acoustic with a solid top even better and to top it off it says FENDER. Recommended indeed. Oh and by the way action and playability is excellent, especially after we've given it the famous Guitar Mania check-tune-set up-and test. For that reason, that's what makes a Guitar Mania guitar simply play better than the rest.
