| Fender Road Worn 50's Strat
Guitar Mania says: When
you first look at it you'll think it was a Fender Custom Shop guitar.
Even up close and when you play it, the sound is right up there with
the Custom's. There are still, to my amazement, some people that just
don't get the whole relic thing, sadly you are missing out. The sound,
look and feel of this guitar is just like a real vintage instrument
but without the gamble. Trying to find a legit vintage instrument is a
nightmare. I would estimate that probably as many as 1/2 of the
"genuine" vintage guitars are actually very well made fakes. Imagine
forking out £20,000 on a fake ? For less than £900 you get a REAL
Fender, with back up, warranty and a great vintage look, feel AND sound.
Why not relic your own ? I
get this a asked a lot. Do not think for one minute that you can just
duff up your old Mex Strat and get the same thing. The lacquer is
different for one thing, but these Mexican Custom Shop guys have got
the design absolutely spot on. Fender says: Few things in this world have gotten cooler with age than the
Stratocaster. Born in the '50s, they became even cooler after years of
use (and abuse) on the road—morphing over time to look appealingly
battered and feel even better than when they were brand-new. Fender's new maple-fretboard Road Worn '50s Strat delivers that aged
look and feel—built to look, sound and feel like it's got more than
just a few miles on it, designed with 1950s specs, including a
nitrocellulose-lacquer finish, and supercharged with Tex-Mex™ pickups
and 6105 frets.
Complete with gig bag.
